Manly Brothers Grand Champions

Congratulations from the whole Manly Brothers club to the 2106  Under 10 and Under 11 teams that won their Grand Finals. We are very proud of you.

New CEO for the Manly Sea Eagles

The Board of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles has announced that Tim Cleary will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Cleary is the current Principal of St Augustines College in Brookvale. Sea Eagles Club Chairman Scott Penn said the appointment will be effective in December.

“Tim will join the Club at the end of the year when he concludes his term as Headmaster. During his 15-year tenure, St Augustines College has grown to be the largest school on the Northern Beaches. He has strong commercial experience, is an outstanding communicator, and is an expert at stakeholder management. Tim is well known in the community as a Manly local and has been a passionate supporter of the Sea Eagles for many years. Tim has tremendous development experience with the expansion of the St Augustine campus and will bring that experience to the fore through our Brookvale Oval redevelopment and Centre of Excellence plans.”

Mr Cleary said he was delighted to have the opportunity to lead the Manly Sea Eagles in 2017.

“Having the privilege of guiding 1,200 young men across the road from Brookvale Oval for the past 15 years, I have had nothing but admiration for the Sea Eagles and their winning culture. There is an exciting future at Manly with the redevelopment of Brookvale Oval and the opportunity to create a Centre of Excellence at Narrabeen. We also have an amazing amount of emerging talent in the NRL team. I am looking forward to helping the Sea Eagles grow and prosper.”

Everyone at Manly Brothers welcomes Mr Cleary and wishes him success.

Get to know a sponsor: URM Group

scroller-United-Resource-Management

The URM Group, which is managed by the Johnston family, have been loyal sponsors of both Manly Brothers and the Manly Sea Eagles. URM’s aim is to be recognised by the communities they serve and the Waste & Recycling Industry alike as a leading resource management company. Their mission is to develop, maintain and implement innovative waste and recycling solutions. URM is committed to exceeding customer expectations in the provision of integrated waste management services. They are now stepping up to be a major sponsor for the Sea Eagles with their name on the front of all the jersey’s for home games. The new jersey is in the style of the glorious hooped design that was first worn by players during the early 1950s, but are more synonymous with Manly’s great success in the 1970s, 1980s and Grand Final wins in 2008 and 2011. Local Event

At Manly Brothers we like to help other local good causes. There is one that is close to the heart of our Media Manager, Garry Farrar. Swim for Saxon is a charity event that raises money for the Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club and it’s water safety pursuits.  It was created in memory of one of the Club’s most gifted athletes, Saxon Bird who was tragically killed at the Australian surf life saving titles in 2010. Swim for Saxon will be held on Sunday 18th December 2016 at Queenscliff Beach. Garry’s reaching out for support for the Swim for Saxon event in way of cash and/or product sponsorship.

Please email Garry Farrar with details of support –  garry@beache-s.com.
