Meatsy Day.

Meatsy Day will be held on July 1st at Nolans Reserve this year. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Manly Sea Eagles Players.

It was fantastic to be visited at Manly Brothers training by MB old boy Billy Bainbridge and his team mate Jackson Hastings.

These visits help the Manly Brothers players develop their skills and also help the Manly Sea Eagles develop their fan base amongst their most ardent fans. The integration with the Northern Beaches junior clubs is particularly important after the many rapid Manly Sea Eagles team changes that have taken place.

Manly Sea Eagles Coaches training night.

Manly Sea Eagles development squad coaches also held a training night for the Northern Beaches junior clubs coaches. Many thanks to Head Coach – Trent Barrett, Assistant Coach/Recruitment Manager – John Cartwright and Assistant Coach, NRL – Willie Peters who did a wonderful job passing on their knowledge at Brookie Oval.

URM Manly Sea Eagles Member Appreciation Day.

URM are one of the longest serving and most loyal of the Manly Sea Eagles sponsors. They are holding the URM Manly Sea Eagles Members Appreciation Day at Brookie Oval on Sunday, May 21 at 2:30pm-4:30pm.

So meet your favourite Sea Eagles players, the event will also feature entertainment and activities for the family.

Have fun and help a Northern Beaches girl to represent Australia.

Manly Brothers likes to support good local causes and the dinner for Pier Pritchard to represent Australia in the GridIron World Championship is one of them. Pier Pritchard is the Manly Redbacks Defensive Coach, who has had the honour of being selected for the Australian Women’s GridIron team in the World Championship which starts on the 24th June 2017.

As the GridIron season finishes before the Rugby League season starts (it runs from December to March), a number of our Manly Brothers players found this a great way to keep fit and develop their ball skills under Pier’s tuition and mentoring.

Pier’s challenge is that she has to raise at least $6,800 for flights and accommodation in order to represent our country. To meet this challenge there is a fundraiser dinner being held at Havana Beach Restaurant on Monday the 29th May at 6:30pm. Tickets are just $45 and include delicious Pacific Island and South American food. Havanas (who sponsored our Manly Brothers Life Members breakfast) is situated on South Steyne with panoramic views over Manly Beach. We hope you can join in.

Billy Bainbridge and Jackson Hastings join Manly Brothers for training.

Manly Brothers welcomed old boy Billy Bainbridge and his Manly Sea Eagles team mate, Jackson Hastings, to Nolan Reserve for Thursday night training.

Billy plays Second Row or Lock whilst Jackson plays Halfback, Hooker, or Five-eighths.

It is wonderful to see the Manly Sea Eagles getting out amongst the juniors. Well done!

So cheer for them in the coming games with a five game pass:

Player Registration.

All players MUST register with both the NRL AND the Manly Brothers club. All of this is explained on our Registration Page: http://www.manlybrothers.com.au/registration/

The new system has been incredibly successful in our first transition year. Six and a half times more people have registered online, rather than manually on our Registration Day at the club. It also saves loads of typing and makes it easier to check information like whether photos have been supplied.

Insurance and Liability

As a club we have a duty of care to the players, volunteers and attendees at events. A player MUST register with BOTH the NRL and the Manly Brothers club otherwise they are putting themselves and the club at risk over insurance.

Manly Sea Eagles “Final Five” membership packages.

The Manly Sea Eagles have launched a “Final Five” campaign”. There are great savings on both General Admittance and Reserved Seating.

Manly Sea Eagles “Are You Manly?” membership campaign and community response.

Finally lets get behind the Manly Sea Eagles “Yes, we are Manly!” campaign”.

If you do phone videos of the teams it gives the chance for the players and the club to be featured on the Sea Eagles website and social media as well as having some fun.

Requests for stickers can be directed to community@seaeagles.com.au and stickers for businesses and video URLs go to corporate@seaeagles.com.au

The Manly Sea Eagles have been running a membership campaign called “Are you Manly?”. There have been some great community responses and here are a couple of good ones that provide bonuses if you show your membership card:

Hart’s Tyres and Hart’s Battery Solutions have also signed up as Manly Brothers latest sponsor, so please drop in and say hello to them.

Remember some of the great advantages of Manly Sea Eagles Membership are:

  • You don’t have to queue, you go straight through!
  • Special merchandise
  • Discounted rates
  • The thrill of being part of the crowd

Manly Sea Eagles Centre of Excellence and Competition.

Manly Sea Eagles Centre of Excellence

Scott Penn, Tim Cleary and their support team have done an awesome job submitting their bid for a Centre of Excellence at the Sydney Academy of Sport at Narrabeeen to the NRL and NSW government. The Manly Sea Eagles have had a great record of success given that their current facilities really show their WW2 and 1950s heritage. The new facility will house the Manly Sea Eagles training facilities and administration and also fantastic new public facilities including education, medical and child care areas for the Northern Beaches community. It is part of their vision for modernising the club.

Tim Cleary the Manly Sea Eagles CEO has said “thank you” for the fans’ support.

Watch this to see how you submit your video in the “Yes, we are Manly!” competition to win merchandise and tickets, plus businesses can win the chance to be featured on the Manly Sea Eagles website and social media.

Individuals may request stickers at community@seaeagles.com.au and businesses can request stickers at corporate@seaeagles.com.au. This is also the address to send video URLs to.

Manly Sea Eagles v Roosters, A-Grade Saturdays, Hotel Steyne Sponsor.

Come cheer for the Manly Sea Eagles on Friday night

The Manly Sea Eagles had a challenging start to the season as the new players got used to working with each other. However the last two outings produced really gutsy wins, when they came in as the underdogs. On Friday they are up against a confident, championship leading Roosters side, so they need our support. Come and give them a Manly Brothers rousing cheer!

Spotlight on a Sponsor – The Steyne Hotel

The Steyne Hotel has been a loyal sponsor of the Manly Brothers A-Grade. If you have been past in the last year you will have noticed that the new manager has put a very strong emphasis on providing a wonderful atmosphere for families and supporting the local community – it is now super kid friendly.

As the charming Amelia, their host, puts it: “The Hotel Steyne is located in the heart of Manly, you’ll know you’re by the Seaside; with salt air wafting straight off iconic Manly beach. With expansive ocean views and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere; it is the ideal place to visit on your next family day out. Serving traditional pub meals from midday everyday and 11am on weekends, bring the kids along for $10 kids meal deals including free soft drink and yummy ice-cream.”

Manly Brothers A-Grade playing on Saturdays

Most of the Manly Brothers A-Grade games will take place on a Saturday this season, to make them easier for members of the other teams to stay and watch.
